Glass half full or half empty

This is something I have been working on for years, although I have made great strides, suddenly a situation will arise and I see the half empty light come on.....erkkkkk brake
Ok lets make that a half full thought.

We get to wittness so many "real stories" that uasually carry the negative side only, I challenge you to see the positive...

Example : we live in a country who reports violence like pouring a cup of coffee, so add a little cream and sugar...yes you can.

Simply listen to the broadcast and then add to yourself or others that yes that is horrible, however it is nice that we live in a country that has laws, organizations and help, for victoms and criminals.

See how easy that is.

Now when you have someone in your life that does something that drives you....try this out.

Example: My husband makes messes, it drives me, now my husband says the same about me, we couldn't see that we were both making messes in areas different from one another so we didn't see the similarities, until one day I was telling him to stop making messes in the yard and he looked at me as I continued with a laugh, and I'll keep the messes down in the house! Finally we saw the same in each other, just different areas of the property.

(that story is another form of positive, it was negative until we both realized the same thing was driving us about the other. Now we both do a little better. That is how you remove a negative aspect in your life that is driving you, you must recognise that same virtue in yourself, once you do the driving part goes away. It is not always about removing people from your life as it is removing a blindness to yourself.)

Practice both of these daily and see where your glass is, I had always thought myself a "realist" when actually I was still sitting on the more negative side of reality.

Just recently I realized I was being a "realist" again in certain situations with my hubby (note: many of our greatest and hardest lessons are played out with our spouses), then I remembered my half full instead of half empty.

Blessings.
