Listening to the whispers
It always strikes me strangely when someone says messages can not be from God. Like when you get card readings or some other form of communication, God goes where you are, when he knows you are seeking answers he provides them in any venue you choose.
God never stopped talking to us, we just stopped listening.
I call them the whispers on the wind, the feeling you get when you over hear a comment by a stranger, you know, the one that says to you, thats just what I needed to hear.
The news report on a subject you were just thinking or talking about.
The phone call from a friend with an opinion on something.
The ones I like the most is where they look at you and say, "I don't know why I just went on about that.".
You see we forgot the wonder and the oneness of our world as we grew up, our answers were in books and adults and specialist. We forgot about sitting quietly in nature and listening to the inner voice that all of a sudden would fill your mind with thought, designs or ideas. We were young and simply trusted the process, then well harmones kick in , school functions, dates and life as we have come to creating it.
Then one day we find ourselves sitting still and wondering what and how did I get here? We then get up think way to much, pop a pill or a beer or ice cream and go on as we have been.......until one day, which is the very moment we should, we stop again and begin to pray, pray and pray.....waiting for an answer.
Faling to see the answers because we think that is to simple or not profound enough, its ok, stop beating yourself up, time is not important only now.
Now begin to let up on yourself just enough to see the real question and then ask it, now be still, meditate let go and the answer will arrive in a most unusual way.
It actually can be fun, I like to ask unusual questions to see if I'm being heard...then I laugh when I get the answer. Sometimes I wonder if it isn't that we often simply ask the wrong questions, you know just mix up the emotional overdrive and when you look really close there wasn't any question in there at all.
So practice having fun with the universe, ask questions, how does this work or that, how do I overcome this or that, when will someone take care of that problem area. Just find things to ask that actually require an answer inwhich you can verify the answer, go ahead let them ripp. I call it keeping the angels busy, the universe has an open line for each of us, so why not use it.
Try this for just one week the following is a little schedule or project.
1. Meditate for 10 mins every day.
2. Ask one question-write it down and put it away, just this one question for the week. (later on ask as many as you deem able to recieve the answers)
3. Before you do any desicion making, take a couple of deep breaths, relax and ask your real self "what do I want to do", and following it as best you can. (note: your true self will never tell you to do something negative or hurtful)
4. At the end of the night write notes down about your day, things you noticed about how you felt following that true inner voice vs not.
5. Write five things you are thankful for.
6. Write the situation down that you think provided your answer to your question for the week, on whatever day you recieved it.
7. Try to make notes of your dreams. (more on dreams later, just get in the practice of remembering your dreams and jotting down. Be as specific and detailed as you are able to remember, colors, places, people things and so forth).
8. Take note of the coincidenses that have been happening this week.
9. If a name pops up in your head, contact that person, they just might need you.
Thats it for this project. I'll put together some wonderful visualizations for making your meditations more fun now and then later this week.
